Key Responsibilities
Front Office Operations
- Join operational meetings to collaborate with support departments on administrative and operational matters.
- Ensure all Front Office staff arrive on time and maintain proper grooming standards for their shifts.
- Lead daily briefings, making sure essential information is clearly conveyed to the team.
- Review Duty log (e-mails) entries and ensure all issues raised are followed up on and resolved effectively.
- Oversee smooth Front Office operations, ensuring all procedures and departmental standards are consistently applied.
- Work closely with the Reservations team during high-occupancy periods and recommend appropriate actions. Monitor closed-out dates to optimize occupancy and maximize revenue.
- Manage full occupancy situations, including overbooking, and arrange alternative accommodations when necessary.
- Coordinate with the Finance Department to ensure proper implementation of credit policies.
- Assess market trends, review rooming lists, and motivate the team to upsell rooms to improve revenue.
- Oversee major group arrivals for events and conferences, ensuring all operational aspects are well-planned.
- Make courtesy calls to VIPs, long-stay, and corporate guests to gather feedback and promptly address any service gaps.
- Handle guest correspondence and ensure timely responses and follow-ups.
- Supervise daily room inventory and coordinate with Housekeeping to ensure rooms are prepared according to guest arrival schedules.
Team Management
- Conduct interviews, hire, and onboard new Front Office staff.
- Identify and nurture talent within the team to support career growth.
- Carry out regular performance evaluations for team members.
- Continuously monitor the team’s presentation, conduct, and level of professionalism.
