Job purpose:
As the Director Security & Crisis Management Belgium, you will be accountable for developing and implementing an effective strategy to assess and mitigate risks, maintain continuity of operations, and ensure the security of GSK people, products, and places within Belgium. You will also ensure that the design and delivery model align with Corporate Security standards.
You will serve as the single point of contact for Corporate Security in Belgium.
Based in Wavre, your role will cover all sites across GSK Belgium. GSK Belgium Security landscape includes: 3 sites including a Headquarter controlled by one access control system, more than 100 buildings, 15.000 internal clients, about 100.000 annual visitors, one emergency dispatching center (security operation center).
This role requires a fluency in French and a deep understanding of business strategy to provide appropriate advice and direction.
Please note this role is not an Information Technology / Cyber Security position.
Your responsibilities:
Security management:
Coordination of security management of Belgium sites based on risk evaluation and business needs.
SPOC for external security stakeholder: Intelligence Services / Law Enforcement.
Security risks owner and accountable for mitigation plans.
Accountable for ensuring the design and delivery model based on Corporate Security standards.
Technological Security:
Provide a strong model of technological security systems management with a long-term strategy.
Define and ensure operational support for technological security systems.
Investigations:
Develop investigative strategies, identify process weaknesses, and initiate activities to enhance the effectiveness of the investigations team in respect of the local regulation.
Ensure a close collaboration with other departments such as HR, Corporate Investigation, Compliance, Privacy, Legal, IT/TECH, etc.
Crisis:
Owner of the Crisis Country Plan (review, exercise and facilitation during crisis activations).
Responsible for the alignment with the internal ERP plan (PIU) and the external ERP plan (PPUI build with external authorities).
Provide guidance, tools, support and resources to organize the Belgium Crisis responses.
People Management:
Leadership and guidance, performance management, team development, workforce optimization, employee well-being, talent management and succession planning.

People management (direct/indirect reports, etc.): 4 direct reports, 2 indirect reports, and a contingent workforce of approximately 120 individuals.
Business travel requirements: max 10%

Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
Bachelor degree in disciplines such as Economy, Criminology, Public Security, Law Enforcement or related
8+ years of experience in leadership / managerial Security and Crisis Management roles
Tangible exposure to highly regulated environments such as the pharmaceutical, healthcare, aeronautical, transportation, energy, oil and gas, food production sectors
Ability to think strategically, perform risk analysis, mitigate solutions
Ability to interact with senior executives, government officials and union representatives
Ability to interact with external stakeholders i.e. Intelligence Services / Law Enforcement
Flexibility - available to respond to security or crisis situations
Fluency in English – written and spoken
Native or close to native command of French – written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in disciplines such as Economy, Criminology, Public Security, Law Enforcement or related
Proven leadership skills such as influence, engagement, negotiation, communication
People / Contract / Budget management
Knowledge of BELGIUM guarding regulation / privacy regulation / investigation regulation
Knowledge of emergency response (EHS)
Ability to assess / analyze complex business information and develop appropriate conclusions and make recommendations
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
Strong interpersonal skills required to manage relationships within the business and external community.
Native or close to native French-speaker with a good command of English and Dutch.
