Demand Planning Specialist
Primary Responsibilities for the Demand Planning Specialist:
- Recognize and support customer demand for all products.
- Under the direction of the Leadership - Europe, coordinate item replenishment planning for the customers using IBP and Excel in order to satisfy SAO goals.
- Develop a macro forecast and AOP to validate the overall size of the business and identify improvement or slippage in market share.
- Analyze and act with supervision on actual product demand, trends and forecasts to ensure world class forecast performance and customer service level, while at the same time, minimizing forecast and supply variation.
- Monitor and improve forecast accuracy.
- Measure and report of actual vs. planned performance overall, by market segment, sales territory, and product family.
- Provide necessary training to internal personnel in the area of demand management forecasting.
- Support customer demand for Europe.
- Assist the sales and market organizations in setting the monthly/quarterly forecast for both SAO and Dynamet as well as AOP development.
- Document , update and challenge factors and assumptions supporting the forecast.
- Take the lead in identifying forecast improvement opportunities with Customers and Sales Team and lead the associated improvement efforts.
- Monitor and improve forecast accuracy.
- Support sales projections for warehouse sales in conjunction with EMEA RSD
- Support mill direct SNI activities from monthly forecast adjustments in IBP to logistics execution. Provide projection and appropriate level of detail to our leadership team.
- Support month/quarter end activities to maximize profit for the company in conjunction with EMEA RSD and direct manager
- Continuous interaction with Customer Solutions and Logistics team to ensure execution of our commercial objectives.
- Interact with customers, in conjunction with the sales force when necessary, to enhance communications and resolve demand forecasting and slow moving inventory that does not meet established SAO goals.
- Prepare, generate and respond to requests for Demand Management/Control reports, analyses, meetings, etc.
- Inventory management: monitor order entry for inventory programs; review our stocking position on key programs, pro-actively collaborate with inventory planning team, monitor our SMI with FS team, stock controls.
- Daily interaction with EI Europe.
- Coordination of Quality Management Review
- Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements for the Demand Planning Analyst:
- Four-year college degree in business related field.
- 3+ years in a sales, commercial, and or related department.
