- At Carrefour, Orange Business ensures the seamless operation and evolution of the Data Platform, managing both analytical and operational data flows with a focus on reliability and performance. We handle diverse workloads, including batch and stream processing. By processing everyday terabytes of data that feed dashboards and web APIs, we empower Carrefour to leverage data-driven insights and support their business growth.
- Our customer Sappi, a global pulp and paper company, requested our help to significantly reduce energy costs and offer capacity in energy balancing markets on a daily basis. You could join the team creating, deploying and optimizing multiple forecasting algorithms on GCP.
- For Paradigm, Orange Business created a data platform and a unified set of tools for all public sector to conduct data projects, with a focus on Kubernetes and DevOps processes to enable self-service and standardization. We were able to handle many projects from all administrations, ranging from API management to data processing & analytics, as well as data science modelling.

What You’ll Do:
All the responsibilities we’ll trust you with
As a Data Engineer Intern, you will take part in the development of an innovative open-source dependency mapping platform that will change how organizations understand and manage their IT system interdependencies. This role offers the unique opportunity to build industry-defining technology while gaining high visibility in the open-source community through contributions that will impact companies worldwide.
System Discovery & Mapping:
- Design and implement automated discovery mechanisms to identify and catalog IT system dependencies across diverse enterprise environments
- Build robust data pipelines to continuously monitor and map relationships between systems ranging from Cloud provider to SAP to BI tools and beyond
Data Pipeline Architecture:
- Develop scalable Python-based data processing pipelines on Google Cloud Platform
- Design efficient data ingestion, transformation, and storage solutions to handle complex dependency graphs
Business Intelligence & Insights:
- Transform dependency data into actionable business insights and recommendations
- Create automated alerting and monitoring systems for critical dependency changes

Your technical knowledge:
- Data Engineering: Advanced proficiency in Python
- Dependency Mapping & Analysis: Understanding of system interdependencies, data lineage, and impact analysis methodologies
- Database Technologies: Strong SQL skills and experience with both relational and NoSQL databases
- DevOps & Version Control: Proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code practices
- Open Source Development: Experience contributing to or maintaining open source projects, understanding of community-driven development practices
- Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus.
