As a Data & AI Product Owner, you develop and maintain the vision for your Data & AI products and services; you set the priorities with the team and with your main stakeholders. You discuss future evolutions aligned with the strategy of skeyes and you make sure business demands are clearly known and prioritized. You are responsible for maintaining operational excellence of the activities and services and to foresee Life-Cycle Management, Data and Service Continuity Plans and Monitoring.
Your role stands as a bridge between Business/Operations, IT and Data & AI expertise, and you promote communication between all parties. You will influence and inspire multiple stakeholders in different functions to change ways of working. You will learn quickly and be able to partner with all stakeholders, demonstrating that you understand their business, their concerns and bring them value through Data & AI Products and Services.
You will be joining skeyes’ innovative Data & AI team. With several years of experience, we've successfully launched groundbreaking products like Europe's first CISP for unmanned traffic management. What does a Data & AI Product Owner do at skeyes?
- Work together with your stakeholders (Support Services team, HR, Finance, Communications, Strategy, CEO) and contributors (Admin IT, data engineers and analysts, data stewards, etc) to build and maintain innovative ‘data products and services’ serving their needs. Together with your manager you will develop a vision and strategy regarding these data products, guaranteeing good quality and trustworthy content.
- Identify solutions and product increments; you determine the necessary features and manage the backlog. Application of understanding of business priorities to keep an up-to-date product backlog and ensure the correct items are prioritized for development. Ensure that the solutions are continuously supported and optimized by adding or adapting new features as the business strategy changes. Follow best practices to ensure user stories are detailed and contain the required information and acceptance criteria (Definition of Ready and Definition of Done) to support development.
- Help the team to understand the data product vision and requirements and convert them into data applications and solutions. This should result in a number of concrete deliverables that can be used by the stakeholders (e.g., setting up data quality controls, defining acceptance criteria, enriching the data & AI platform for future innovative usages, guidelines for integration, …).
- Implementation & Rollout Planning: Work with business and IT stakeholders to effectively plan the rollout, training and business support required to ensure a smooth planned implementation which enables benefits rapidly whilst minimizing any negative disruption to the business.
- Usage & Adoption: Focus on delivering the business value by focusing on the usage and adoption of the AI & Data Products (solution and services), while meeting the aligned expectations on the delivery.

Candidate profile
What makes you the ideal Data & AI Product Owner?
- You have a Master's degree in a quantitative field (Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, Aviation Management or a related field with emphasis on analytics and/or statistics).
- You have at least 3-5 years of experience working with Data, Analytics and AI products and services.
- A strong understanding of air traffic management concepts, airspace utilization, flight procedures, regulations, and safety standards is a plus.
- You are proficient in several common data analysis and visualization tools such as Power BI, SQL, Python.
- You have a pragmatic and solution-oriented mindset for product development with the ability to translate business needs into clear product requirements and define strategic roadmaps.
- You are knowledgeable in project management practices. Awareness of software development lifecycle and experience with the Agile or Scrum Methodology are a plus. You have experience with managing projects that include AI solutions and advanced analytics (e.g., smart assistant, predictive analytics, Machine Learning, etc...).
- You can influence people and handle conflicting situations in an effective and diplomatic way.
- You excel in team spirit, collaborating seamlessly with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals and deliver high-quality products.
- You have excellent listening skills and the ability to ask insightful questions, ensuring a deep and empathic understanding of stakeholder needs and project requirements.
- You are a good communicator and facilitator with the ability to effectively present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. You are confident in leading design workshops and can steer the development tasks of developers.
