Atlas Copco Specialty Rental started a journey to implement and roll-out a next generation application landscape. With this project, Specialty Rental will take a quantum leap forward and build a solid and future-proof solution to manage its business. We have very ambitious growth plans, but the current business system and its satellite applications no longer support this. A global template team and technical team is building a global solution template within the SAP & Salesforce ecosystems, with a mission to harmonize and standardize Specialty Rental’s end-to-end processes. This template will be rolled out to all Specialty Rental regions globally in the coming years.
In this context we are looking for a Business Process Expert Service to join our Operations BPX team. You will be reporting to the Business Process Manager Service (BPM). In a constantly evolving world, it's important to stay ahead of the game. In doing so we are redefining, improving and further professionalizing our global service processes. The role of Business Process Expert Service is 'hands on' and will be key in redefining the service processes and implementing them in a Next Generation ERP landscape for the Specialty Rental division.
As Business Process Expert Service you will play a leading role in our expanding division.
The position in general:
- Represent the service department in the Next Gen ERP program
- Part of a team of highly motivated Business Process Experts
- Is the hands-on service expert in the Next Gen ERP solution
- Evangelize the solution to the BKU (Business Key User) community
- Helps shape the future way of maintenance work
- Act as change agent to help the depots implement the change
Your responsibilities as a Business Process Expert Service
- Interfaces with local service experts to gather and document business requirements, ensures these requirements are well understood by external ERP experts
- Actively participates in process team workshops which are being led by the Business Process Manager Service (BPM). Working with other BPXs and external ERP experts to design the future state processes
- Develops a good understanding of the strategic direction for the service process (to-be concepts)
- Participate and take responsibility in the different phases of the next gen ERP project (Preparation, fitment, realization, hypercare, harvesting and long term)
- Works together with local teams to engineer and map the ideal, future-proof service process. Paving the way to build this into the next gen ERP system.
- Provide the external ERP experts with knowledge of the Atlas Copco Specialty Rental business, service in particular
- Describe in detail the agreed to-be service concepts with the external ERP experts
- Determine together with the external ERP experts how we ideally match the next gen ERP to our service processes
- Learn from hands-on ERP experience and translate these learnings into practical application within the different context of depots in Specialty Rental, varying in size, maturity and complexity
- Advise on how to best use the new ERP solution within service, considering the envisioned to-be concept and different types of rental depots
- Accelerate user adoption of the new ERP system in the different regions
- Document the learnings and conclusions according to agreed documentation (architecture) standards
- Lead the activities required to secure success
Experience requirements
- Solid background in service processes and technical knowledge on equipment
- Experience with process mapping and process improvement projects
- Experience with Agile ways of working will be a plus.
Educational requirements
- Bachelor or university degree
- Good command of English is a must, Dutch is a plus

Additional information
This position is preferably based in Atlas Copco Rental Hub in Boom, Belgium or Covington – US although other locations in EU and the Americas close to our global rental centers can be considered in case you’re willing to travel to Belgium on a regular basis.
