Network Infrastructure
The pandemic has highlighted how important telecoms networks are to society. Nokia’s Network Infrastructure group is at the heart of a revolution to bring more and faster network capacity to people worldwide through our ambition, innovation, and technical expertise.
You will join a team that brings “gigabit to the home” solutions to deliver data access to our communication service provider (CSP) customers. To accomplish this, the team is using the latest Fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) technologies in a context of Software Defined Access Networks (SDAN).
What you will learn and contribute to
• To bring our product innovations and evolutions to the market faster and at higher quality than the competition as part of a multi-disciplinary agile team of senior experts and supported by state-of-the-art development and test technologies, tools, and processes
• As part of this agile team you will test software that is managing ONU devices and develop automated testcases to make sure previous implemented functionality remains functioning in next product releases.
• The software needs to be validated and deployed both in embedded environment (product) as in virtual environment (cloud)
• The team is able to setup and install our products in the Nokia labs and troubleshoot in case of failing tests
• Manages as a team priorities, deadlines and deliverables
- Lead & perform test activities of medium/high complexity features
- Report on test progress and make test reports if required
- Support peers in completing tasks within own area(s) of expertise
- Lead technical discussions with peers for resolving identified issues in own area(s) of expertise
- Improves existing processes & solutions.
- Be actively involved in interoperability related test activities between our product and other vendors products and analyse the configuration messages exchanged between both.
- Uses functionally specific knowledge
- Established skills and knowledge of theory and principles within a professional discipline
- Typically 3-5 years directly related experience
- A master’s degree in Computer Science or Telecommunications or Electronics or equivalent practical experience
